PortaBook is a Macintosh (PPC) application which can be used to format text for display as JPEG images on portable media players including the Creative ZEN products.  PortaBook is an evolution of an applcation called PSPBook by Robin Ward, which is no longer being maintained.

The PortaBook source code is available anonymously through Subversion with an appropriate client.
