Unreal Tournament 3
When will the Open Al and Creative Soundcard problem be fixed??????? It has been years now and still no fix from both Epic Games and Creative This is false advertising because still on creative sites its been advertised that its open al enabled and recommending an X-FI for the game! /Commander

I asked the same question on the developer forum not long ago. Creative are apparently still working with Epic in trying to fix the bug. They're just taking forever because they can't seem to figure out what is causing it. Seems to me like its a "sound not found" error being caused by the OpenAL software telling the game a sound is in X-RAM when it actually isn't (or vice versa, the game's not looking in X-RAM for a sound when it should be). Hence why the bug doesn't occur on X-Fi cards that don't have X-RAM.

Today is February 24th, 2009. Unreal Tournament 2003 was released November 19, 2007 in the USA OVER 400 days since it's release and UT3 still randomly crashes on my system with "Hardware OpenAL" enabled...

my system got the same problem. got a x-fi titanium a few days ago, and since i got this "perfect" soundcard for my ut3, ut3.exe stops working randomly. vista business 64, ati 4850 512, q9450, asus p5q, 4 x 2 GB RAM DDR2 1000 @ 800 of g.skill the system has absolutely no other instability problems. its simply the x-fi / ut3 / openAL issue. i dont expect creative to fix it till tomorrow, but please gimme a date when you expect it to be fixed, cause i bought your friggin card. greets
