OpenAL for Headphones
I am planning to use a Music-stereo sound sample with Headpones for some interaction task. However using the sound on Headpones may result in making the music sound unpleasant compared to using it on Loudspeakers. I was wondering if i could OpenAL supports stereo spatialization/widening on Headphones on Linux?

OpenAL Soft provides a user config option for applying a stereo cross-feed on two-channel output. See alsoftrc.sample for how to enable it.
