OpenAL

Eric Wing, long time OpenAL supporter, has contributed several chapters about OpenAL programming in the brand new "Beginning iPhone Games Development" book published by Apress.

 

OpenAL is given very thorough and excellent coverage, including subjects like initialization, 2D and 3D audio playback, velocity and Doppler, source directivity using cones, distance attenuation, streaming, and resource management.

 

Although the book is aimed at iPhone developers, the OpenAL sections contain lots of great information that will appeal to OpenAL programmers regardless of platform.
