Does this beta driver support 32-bit and 64-bit systems?
Beta 2 now supports 32-bit and 64-bit systems.  Further details are in the Release Notes.
 
Is this beta driver an open-source version?
No, it is proprietary to Creative. Please read the license document that comes with the beta driver before installing the driver.
 
ALSA Mixer does not show the S/PDIF module. Why?
The current driver has limited S/PDIF functionality only.
 
My Sound Blaster X-Fi I/O Drive and I/O Console modules cannot be detected. Why?
The current driver does not support the X-Fi I/O Drive and I/O Console modules.
 
I cannot play compressed AC3 signal from my external decoder. Why?
The current driver does not support external decoders.
